Dr. Archana Shrestha

Dr. Archana Shrestha is an Associate Professor of Public Health at Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences. She is also the Director of the Institute for Implementation Science and Health, leading capacity-building programs for translational research in Nepal and collaborating with international organizations to advance implementation science. Dr. Shrestha holds a PhD in Epidemiology and an MPH in International Health from the University of Washington, along with a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Implementation Science from Harvard University. Her extensive experience spans academia, research, and program implementation. She has led projects on diabetes prevention, cardiovascular health, and maternal and child health, utilizing innovative approaches like digital data collection and evidence-based interventions. Dr. Shrestha's contributions also include coordinating the Dhulikhel Heart Study in Nepal, conducting systematic reviews, and publishing on the intersection of noncommunicable diseases and global health. With over a decade of experience, over 80 publications and multiple research grants, she is dedicated to advancing health equity and improving health systems in resource-limited settings.
