Mariana Benavides is Director for Global Health Initiatives at Eli Lilly and Company. She is an Industrial Engineer from Tec de Monterrey with an MBA in Marketing and Social Impact from Kellogg Graduate School of Management (Northwestern University). With 20+ years of experience in the Social Impact space, Mariana supports multisectorial collaborations and develops sustainable strategies to advance global health equity and improve healthcare quality for 30 million people in limited resource settings. She has worked in diverse industries including construction (CEMEX), pharmaceutical (Eli Lilly and Novartis), consumer goods (PepsiCo), and Sports Marketing (Mexican Football Federation). Passionate about storytelling and creating synergies, Mariana believes no person's health should be determined by where they live. Outside of work, she volunteers as a Certified Grief Educator and serves on the boards of Fundacion Comunidar and Fundacion Acompaña.
